Position Overview We’re seeking a Solutions Architect to join our Americas Delivery team. In this customer-facing role, you will act as a technical lead and trusted advisor, guiding clients through the design, deployment, and optimization of our SaaS platform MK.IO. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—ranging from engineering and product to sales—to architect best-in-class implementations that align with client goals and industry standards. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on cutting-edge SaaS solutions in the media and streaming industry. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership: Design, develop, and deliver end-to-end cloud and video engineering solutions for a variety of customers, ensuring high availability and performance. Deployment: Configure and manage streaming workflows and media processing pipelines in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP). Customer Engagement: Work directly with clients to translate business requirements into technical solutions, including presenting solution roadmaps and proof-of-concept demonstrations. Solution Design & Documentation: Create detailed technical architecture diagrams, design documents, and best-practice guidelines for both internal and external stakeholders. Collaboration & Mentorship: Partner with internal teams to review solution plans, provide feedback, and mentor junior engineers or consultants within the NA region. Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest in video compression, cloud services, streaming technologies, and emerging standards to continually refine solutions. Required Skills and Qualifications Proven Experience: 5 years in solution architecture, professional services, or a similar customer-facing engineering role. Video Engineering Expertise: familiarity with encoding, packaging, streaming protocols (HLS, DASH, CMAF), and related media workflows. Cloud Capabilities: Strong background in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP). Certification(s) in any cloud platform is a plus. AI Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or frameworks is a plus, especially for advanced analytics or data-driven decision-making. Technical Communication: Excellent ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Problem-Solving Skills : Proven success troubleshooting video workflows, cloud deployments, or network issues in high-pressure settings. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with broadcast standards, SCTE-224/35, or emerging video tech is highly desirable.
