We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Program Manager to lead and execute a critical program encompassing multiple complex projects within our wireless network infrastructure. This role requires a proven ability to manage technical projects from inception to completion, working closely with engineering teams and vendors. The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful deployment of new applications, scoping of innovative solutions (including 5G slicing and satellite backhaul), and the development of automation solutions to enhance efficiency and scalability. This includes risk management, issue resolution, and regular progress reporting to stakeholders. Application Software Deployment: Manage the deployment of new application software within existing customer environments, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance. Satellite Service Scoping: Define requirements and scope a satellite service to support management backhaul in remote locations, considering cost, performance, and scalability. 5G Slicing Solution Scoping: Scope a 5G slicing solution for Dual Mode CORE (DMC), collaborating with engineering and vendor teams to ensure feasibility and alignment with business objectives. Engineering Team Support: Provide ongoing support and guidance to engineering teams as new platforms are introduced into the Rogers CORE Network, facilitating smooth integration and troubleshooting issues. Automation Development (Jira): Develop and implement automation solutions leveraging Jira, focusing on streamlining processes and improving efficiency across the program. Specific Project Areas: Wireless Private Network (WPN): Modernize Systems: Manage the upgrade of all existing WPN customers to the latest operating system. 5G Innovation: Scope 5G slicing, 5GSA readiness on 3900 MHz, and new features. Certification: Oversee the certification of E/EP5G, including cyber security validation. Cloud-Native Validation: Validate Kubernetes-based applications for deployment and scaling. Interoperability: Scope proxies for seamless roaming and RAN sharing. Satellite Backhaul: Explore and implement satellite backhaul solutions for improved network resiliency. Unified Communication: Integrate Microsoft Teams with Metaswitch. Feature Enhancement: Manage enhancements to infrastructure and software on Nokia and Ericsson platforms. Access Point Name (APN): Seamless Migrations: Manage customer migrations to the new Dual Mode CORE and firewalls. Automation: Develop automation in Jira to increase efficiency in APN processes. Vendor Solutions: Scope new vendor solutions through Proofs of Concept (POCs). Network Optimization: Scope a dedicated APN to optimize network performance. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Engineering, or a related field. 10 years of experience in technical project management, preferably in the telecommunications industry. Proven experience managing complex, multi-faceted projects with multiple stakeholders. Strong understanding of network technologies, including 5G, cloud computing, and virtualization. Proficiency in using project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
