Forge Recruitment has been engaged to recruit an experienced Marketing Specialist for a well-established law firm in downtown Toronto. This newly created position is a result of continued growth and offers a hybrid work schedule after the 3-month probation period. Under the direction and support of the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Specialist will support the marketing, communications, and business development activities. The role encompasses several responsibilities, including events, strategic project support, a Client Relationship Management (CRM) system, social media, research and analysis, copywriting, presentations, and other related activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for marketing, be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and have a keen attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities Support the Director of Marketing by implementing strategic plans Oversee the Marketing Coordinator and Digital Marketing Coordinator Seek opportunities, strategize, plan, attend, and direct in-person and virtual events, including but not limited to lunch and learns, webinars, sponsorships, receptions, etc. Manage all promotional/swag projects Create marketing strategies and implement plans, including social media, SEOs, Google searches, paid media, videos, our website, etc. Write, review and approve all copy and graphics for promotional materials, advertising campaigns and social media Monitor and analyze results of digital marketing efforts Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, facilitate meetings, and implement projects Assist with planning and executing the monthly Marketing Committee meetings Audit monthly budget reports and aid in preparing the yearly budget Create strategies to ensure the brand is implemented across all marketing channels Manage and fully optimize the CRM system and develop reports for analysis Oversee special mailing initiatives – e.g. holiday cards, marketing gifts, etc. Prepare copy for press releases and media Work closely with legal publications for paid and earned media insertions, including articles and graphics Support affiliate Personal Injury organization with its events, conferences and awards Research and stay up to date on market trends Understand and analyze data regarding potential new clients and open files Perform other duties as required Education/Experience: 5 years of marketing and communications experience, ideally in a law firm Possesses excellent digital marketing understanding, written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, online research capabilities and experience with marketing systems Experience implementing and managing a CRM system Experience with script writing, videography, and editing (Premiere Pro) is considered an asset Project and event management is highly desirable Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, etc.), with the experience or ability to learn new software and operating systems (e.g. CRM systems, Adobe Express, Kofax Power PDF, WordPress, Monday.com, Hootsuite, etc.) Bachelor’s degree is required Skills/Abilities: Highly organized, ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Ability to collaborate successfully within a professional organization Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing Works well independently and within a team Self-starter and leader with accomplished critical thinking skills Demonstrates close attention to detail and is a grammar enthusiast Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
