Location : Toronto (Hybrid) Type : Full-Time / Permanent Our Client A fast-growing global tech company based in Canada, focused on transforming corporate networks for large enterprises worldwide. Role Overview Reporting to the Global General Counsel, Our Client is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel with a strong technology background. This hybrid role offers flexibility to work remotely or from our Toronto office. Key Responsibilities Provide legal guidance on technology transactions (e.g., SaaS, software licensing, development, partnerships). Support internal compliance on privacy, open source, marketing, and export matters. Assist with M&A activities, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration. Advise product teams on intellectual property, data protection, and related matters. Manage legal entities across global jurisdictions and coordinate with outside counsel. Qualifications Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. 7 years of experience in SaaS/software-related legal roles (top-tier law firm or corporate legal department). Expertise in drafting and negotiating technology agreements, including SaaS and software licenses. Knowledge of data privacy and experience with data protection agreements. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support fast-paced transactions. Commercial mindset, ability to work under deadlines, and a collaborative team player.
