The Client A major financial services corporation is looking for a Senior IT Analyst for their office in Toronto. What you must bring to this role University or College degree in a relevant discipline. 8 years of experience in System/IT Administration. Proven track record of supporting Windows operating systems and MS Office applications. Knowledge of VMware ESXi host, VM Windows servers, and VMware Horizon (VDI). Experience in documenting, updating and maintaining procedure manuals, guidelines and policies . Experience in tracking KPIs and preparing governance reports to ensure compliance. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills Strong analytical skills and a collaborative team-oriented approach. Sound organizational skills to manage deadlines effectively. What you will achieve in this role Document, update, and maintain the Bank’s IT/Systems procedure manuals, guidelines, and policies , including technical documentation and cybersecurity reporting. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, status reports, and project plans. Prepare governance reports defining policies and procedures, assigning roles and responsibilities and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs). Support internal and Head Office reporting as required. Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for stakeholders. Assist with BCP failover testing, document testing procedures and outcomes, record event minutes and compile lessons learned. Support and assist in managing third-party outsourced vendors. Assist in implementing and monitoring the Bank’s Cyber Security program in coordination with the Americas IT Team. IT Support & System Administration: Provide desktop support and administration of the Bank’s systems and applications. Configure computers for employees, including software installation and server access setup. Install and maintain hardware, applications, and system upgrades as required. Troubleshoot, analyze, resolve, and document various technical issues. Maintain and manage the Bank’s telecommunications system and mobile devices. Participate in system maintenance and troubleshooting calls as needed. Assist with IT security controls in coordination with other teams. Document and maintain hardware and software inventories. Remediate workstation and server vulnerabilities identified by the IT Department. Maintain all LAN servers, including installation, security patches, and updates. Ensure daily backups of all Bank information and proper maintenance of local servers. Support media tape library management, including tracking, auditing, and offsite vaulting. Data Governance & Risk Management: Develop a structured data governance framework, outlining goals, principles, and components. Establish clear policies and procedures for data collection, storage, processing, and sharing. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance.
