Title: Senior Financial Analyst Reporting to Senior Director of Finance Location: Toronto, Ontario We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Senior Financial Analyst to join our team Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance , the Senior Financial Analyst will be based in our Head Office, located in Toronto, Ontario, and will help to strengthen the overall global finance function. What you will do: Responsible for preparation of consolidation financial statements and cashflow ensuring the financial statements are maintained in compliance with US GAAP, SOX and internal policies and procedures. Prepare and analyze journal entries to convert the local GAAP reporting to US GAAP compliant. Prepare and investigate abnormal balances in schedules associated with consolidated Balance Sheet, P&L and notes to consolidated financial statements. Prepare monthly financial packages for Venus Executive Management Team, quarterly board presentation, audit committee and other investor presentations. Liaising with non -audit external accounting firm associated with SEC filings/reports like 10K, 10Q, proxy statement etc…Ensuring and validating information prepared by them are accurate. Coordinate and review balance sheet and P&L variance analysis Prepare monthly PPE and other intangibles schedule and confirm status of assets with subsidiaries on a quarterly basis. Support month-end close as needed. Assist and become a power user of consolidation and planning Tool with the goal of completing consolidation and budgeting/forecast process entirely using Tool. Assist with year-end and other audit inquiries. Assist with compilation and consolidation of the global budget/forecast, and lead/coordinate the associated Actual to Budget variance analysis. Prepare various ad hoc reports for internal and external reporting requirements. Coordinate work with other cross-functional team members Perform other duties as assigned. What you will need : CPA or Internationally Trained Accountant or CFE obtained with undergraduate university degree in Business, Commerce or Accounting, and 3 years of experience in finance roles with a proven track record of increasing responsibility. Compensation: Base salary range: $80,000 – $90,000 Benefits: Comprehensive package starting on Day 1, covering medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) match, among other benefits.
