Your new role As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for executing on the company’s vision around data platform, self-serve analytics, and data marketplace across portfolios and ecosystems. You will be part of the data platform squad and will be responsible for evolving the engineering practice and developing foundational data capabilities using cloud technologies. This high-impact role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strong understanding of industry standards and practices in data and cloud technologies. Your primary responsibilities will include: Providing technical guidance and mentorship to other members of data, cloud, and software engineers. Evaluating and implementing necessary system integrations to drive the vision around data-as-product and data discovery for business users. Working closely with teams to identify and implement the right tools and technologies for current and future needs. Partnering with enterprise teams to create a collaborative development approach. Partnering with technical program managers to create a backlog of work for the team and report on critical initiatives. Developing effective DevOps practices to improve developer experience and faster time-to-market. What you’ll need to succeed 6 years of experience in data-driven organizations with a focus on end-to-end large-scale initiatives. 4 years of hands-on experience building applications, data platforms, and pipelines in cloud-native technologies. Deep technical understanding of data and analytics paradigms and technologies (Cloud, Databases/Warehouses, Hadoop, etc.). 2 years of experience in the Asset Management or Capital Markets industry. Experience with advanced ETL development using Informatica, PL/SQL, SQLServer, and performance tuning. Knowledge and experience with PowerCenter-based data ingestion and transformation pipelines. Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses. Solid programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, Scala, and SQL. In-depth knowledge of cloud-native technologies, including AWS services. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related technical field. Understanding of building API solutions and microservices. Strong decision-making, outcome-driven, influencing, leading change, and communication skills.
