A leading global consultancy is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Consultant to join its Toronto-based team and drive business growth across Ontario and Canada. This role involves providing expert consultancy, dispute resolution, and commercial services within the construction and engineering industries. The Senior Consultant will be instrumental in developing client relationships, leading complex claims, and shaping the firm’s strategic direction in Canada. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Develop and expand client relationships within the construction and legal sectors, securing fee-earning work. Lead assignments related to live and retrospective construction claims and disputes. Prepare expert reports for settlement, adjudication, mediation, arbitration, and litigation on matters such as delay, disruption, quantum, and duty of care. Provide verbal expert testimony in dispute resolution proceedings. Advise clients on contract and commercial strategies, risk management, and scheduling. Mentor and develop a team of construction claims professionals. Represent the firm in industry organizations and contribute to thought leadership through presentations and publications. Support business development efforts and contribute to the firm’s strategic growth in Canada. Travel domestically and internationally as needed. WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Strong network and experience in the Canadian construction, engineering, and legal industries, with a focus on Ontario. Proven expertise in construction disputes and claims resolution. Demonstrated ability to identify, bid, and secure consulting assignments. Degree in Engineering or Architecture; additional qualifications such as a Master of Law (LLM) or industry certifications (PSP, CFCC) are advantageous. Experience producing expert reports for dispute resolution and providing expert testimony is a plus. Strong leadership, team-building, and mentoring skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French proficiency is an asset.
