Our client is a European manufacturer of pumps and related equipment, and they are looking for a Regional Sales Manager- Mining, who will be focusing on increasing sales revenue by cultivating deep, strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including consulting engineers and mining companies, and establishing sales channels in Ontario’s mining hubs. This individual can be located in the GTA or near Timmins, Ontario. Key Responsibilities and Functions Develop and sustain strong relationships with existing and potential customers. This involves understanding customer needs, addressing concerns, and providing relevant product information. Align with the company’s growth strategy by collaborating with the sales and engineering teams. Participate in sales meetings, contribute to team success, and work together to overcome challenges and exceed customer expectations. Prepare and deliver tailored presentations and demonstrations that highlight the value of the company’s products or services, based on each customer’s specific needs and interests. Lead negotiations to ensure mutually beneficial solutions for the company and the customer. Keep detailed and up-to-date records of customer interactions, preferences, and sales activities using a customer relationship management (CRM) system. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field. 5 years of experience in sales and business development within the mining industry. Proven expertise in mining market sales. Regular travel primarily within Ontario, with occasional trips across Canada and the U.S. for training, exhibitions, or factory visits. Strong time management and organizational skills. Knowledge of pumps and their applications in mining. Relationship-building expertise. Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
