About the Role: We are seeking a Pension Analyst, Member Services to be front-line pension administrator responsible for all day-to-day tasks in the administration of the CAAT Pension Plan. Reporting to the Manager of Member Services, the Pension Analyst is a front-line pension administrator responsible for all day-to-day tasks in the administration of the CAAT Pension Plan. As part of the Member Services team, you support members by processing various types of transactions using the administration system to perform a variety of activities and calculations. As the Newest Member of our Team, You’ll: Efficiently process and manage a variety of transaction activities, including terminations, retirements, deaths, transfers, service purchases (buybacks), and pension estimates. Ensure these tasks are completed in compliance with established service standards, procedures, and policies Engage with employers, their members, former members, and retired members as necessary to provide timely and accurate responses to inquiries and concerns Actively participate in structured training sessions designed to enhance your knowledge of the Plan document and relevant legislation, ensuring up-to-date expertise Collaborate with the team to support necessary system updates and actively identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains To Succeed, You Bring: A College Diploma or University Degree, with a minimum of 2 years of experience with Municipal Employees’ Pension Plan (MEPP), public sector pension administration, or through an outsourcing service provider Pension Plan Administration Certificate (PPAC), Certified Employee Benefit Specialist Program (CEBS), or Certified Benefits Professional designation, or actively pursuing these qualifications Understanding of Defined Benefit Pension administration systems and working with pension plan texts Knowledge of multi-jurisdictional pension legislation, payroll within pension administration, reconciling paid pensions, enhancing disbursement accuracy, and handling additional voluntary contributions will be considered assets Experience in processing transactional activities (e.g. terminations, retirements, deaths, purchases, etc.) Proficiency in both English and French is considered a strong asset Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a mathematical aptitude Strong written and oral communication skills Exceptional judgement, logic, teamwork, and interpersonal skills Advanced proficiency in Excel Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment while effectively managing multiple tasks At CAAT, we believe innovation, passion, and purpose are ingredients for a great work environment.
