Eligible candidates must reside the GTA. This position does require in office time at our North York location. AlumierMD is a Canadian company that produces, markets and sells skincare products to doctors and full-service Spas that is distributed domestically and internationally. Experienced Packaging & Manufacturing Engineer to manage Alumier’s anti-diversion and anti-counterfeit packaging systems. Responsibilities include maintaining and updating uni-carton and shipper designs, reviewing and updating materials to meet regulatory and sustainability requirements, and ensuring they align with the needs of the anti-diversion system. Additional duties include administering the anti-diversion system and maintaining quality standards for the skincare product line. The Packaging & Manufacturing Engineer, must have prior experience compatible with high end product packaging and be able to collaborate with team members under the direction of the VP of Engineering. Ultimately, an experienced Packaging & Manufacturing Engineer should demonstrate excellent communication skills, an ability to connect with contractors, 3rd part manufacturers, vendors, engineers, and have a solid foundation in manufacturing equipment software UI, mechanical design, product and packaging design. Job Responsibilities: • Demonstrate proficiency in all the accountabilities of a packaging Engineer • Understanding of packaging design • Understanding of packaging materials and construction • Understanding and knowledge of sustainable materials, construction and trends • Recommend improvements on packaging designs and efficiency • Recommending technological developments and improvements on product packaging • Oversee the qualifying of all packaging components and documentation • Administrate product anti-diversion systems to protect product line from product diversion and or counterfeiting • Manage marking equipment and procedures • Support inhouse scheduling for anti-diversion systems • Design or implement all packaging to provide for product marking and tracking • Work with Product Development team to populate Centric Software with engineering related documentation to produce BOM’s for Supply Chain and third-party manufacturers Job Requirements: • This is a remote role, however, the candidate must be within driving distance of our North York office for attendance when needed. • 3 to 5 years’ technical experience in the food or pharmaceutical industry • Proven preventative maintenance skills, and ability to positively influence team results • Ability to work within a team environment as a key member of the team • Proven computer literacy with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office programs and familiarity with ERP systems • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written • Proactive and self-motivated • Direct packaging technical or operational experience preferred • Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) AlumierMD is an equal opportunity employer
