Role Description This is a full-time Marketing Manager role based in Scarborough, ON, with some flexibility for remote work. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies, conducting market research, planning and executing marketing campaigns, managing social media accounts, analyzing marketing data, and collaborating with internal teams to drive brand awareness and lead generation. The Marketing Manager will also oversee the creation of marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, and advertisements. The ideal candidate will have will have the ability to completely and independently execute branding and advertising concepts. They will have to be resourceful in finding outside sources to fill the gaps of any skills they may not possess (eg. Translating copy to other languages, video production, etc.) A writing sample or portfolio will be required to apply for this position. Key Responsibilities Implements B2B marketing campaigns by preparing marketing & advertising strategies, plans, & objectives. Identifies potential leads and passes them along to the sales department. Manages catalogs and other promotional materials . Manage content creation such as social media posts, blogs, video’s, etc. Creates white papers/technical articles with engineering assistance. Makes updates to website , uploading new literature, etc. Plans meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications. Qualifications digital marketing skills, including social media marketing, email marketing, and content marketing Experience in market research and competitor analysis Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in marketing tools and software Ability to travel if necessary (car, passport). Experience in the eyewear or optical industry is a plus Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field Challenges Highly technical field . Self-Learning the details of how the products work and creating content and communicating those ideas. Working independently . Branding a product that has no visuals . All lenses look the same.
