If you embody integrity, teamwork, passionate excellence, and you enjoy working in a high-performing and high-energy environment, we are currently recruiting a highly motivated individual for the role of Human Resource Business Partner JOB SUMMARY The HR Business Partner is responsible for HR support across various locations, integrating the shared HR practices for The Central Group of Companies, with a heavy focus on employee relations, program/policy roll-out, compliance and reporting. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Business Partner Support: Onsite support as HR point of contact for employees and Managers Foster strong partnerships with key stakeholders including client groups, and manufacturing leads at various sites Work closely with the key business leaders to provide expertise, guidance, and support on all people processes including performance management, workforce planning, compensation, learning & development. Support hiring managers and work closely with Recruitment specialist through process with updates on open roles and challenges Provide guidance/ support in creation and implementation of HR processes and policies Provide employee relations support, conduct investigations and respond to enquiries from employees Proactively bring forward issues and nuances as company processes or policies are implemented Work closely with the Culture Ambassador to keep a pulse on employee engagement and company culture. Participate in HRIS efficiencies, including new module implementation and/or interface Health & Safety: Work closely with the H&S Lead to ensure policies surrounding health and safety are adhered to and provide guidance on gaps identified in each location through communication with Safety Lead Participate in the Joint Health & Safety Committee by attending regular meetings and managing implementation of processes at all locations Administration: Canada Life Benefits and Pension enrolment updates, and milestone management that ensures timely and accurate benefits coverage, deductions, and records Benefits and pension troubleshooting, assisting employees with inquiries and resolving any issues or concerns Report generation and creation for eligibility tracking Review Monthly benefit invoices, cost assessment and analyses Work closely with payroll to ensure transfer of correct information regarding benefit costs and generate reports to cross reference Coordinate regular or new communication regarding all benefits programs Work closely with payroll to ensure transfer of correct information regarding benefit costs and generate reports to cross reference ACADEMIC AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Post-secondary education preferably in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations or Business CHRP Designation required and Joint Health & Safety Certification an asset 5 years of HR experience preferably in a manufacturing environment 3 years of experience in benefits administration, employee relations, compliance and reporting REQUIRED SKILLS: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service oriented Proactive, collaborative, discretion and judgment Advocate for process improvement and use of data to support decision making Visibility, persistence and tenacity Attention to detail and organizational skills Experience with Ceridian Dayforce an asset, computer skills (MS Office, Job Posting sites) WORK ENVIRONMENT: Onsite office location Travel required between offices in Mississauga and Vaughan About The Central Group of Companies Central is an industry leader in performance-driven marketing-at-retail solutions, specializing in both packaging and point-of-purchase (POP) display with clients across North America.
