We are looking for an experienced Fullstack Engineer (Front-End Focused) to join our Stores and Social team . If you have a passion for developing rich web applications that reach millions of users, this opportunity is for you Title: Fullstack Engineer – Front-End Focused Experience: 8 Years Location: Toronto, CA (Hybrid) Annual Pay: 132K CAD – 135K CAD Key Skills & Technologies: ✅ 8 years of experience building large-scale, web-based distributed systems ✅ Expertise in Node.JS, HTML5, CSS3 (LESS/SASS), JavaScript, Ajax, and streaming technologies ✅ Strong understanding of REST-based interfaces and storage technologies ( relational and NoSQL ) ✅ Solid knowledge of web application security, accessibility, site speed optimization, and cross-browser compatibility ✅ Nice to have: Cross-platform UX Design , drag-and-drop functionality, image/video editing, real-time streaming Role & Responsibilities: Collaborate with Architects, Product Managers, BAs, QEs, and Ops teams to develop innovative solutions Work in an Agile environment and be involved in development, testing, release, bug fixes, and documentation Utilize tools like JIRA, Git, CI/CD, and internal eBay tools for prioritization and feature delivery Deliver high-quality, reusable, and performant front-end experiences for sellers Participate in technical design/code reviews and contribute to roadmap planning Ensure operational excellence through automation and process controls Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field Proficiency in JavaScript (scopes, prototype inheritance, closures, promises, async/await, shared memory, transpilers, package management) Advanced CSS3 skills (layouts, media queries, transitions, flexbox, preprocessors) Hands-on experience with Mocha/Chai for testing, CI/CD integrations (Jenkins), and visual regression tools (Percy) Strong knowledge of security, accessibility, site speed optimization, and cross-browser compatibility Excellent verbal and written communication skills
