Our client is a top global financial institution with a vast network of customer accounts in over 160 countries. They offer a wide range of financial products and services, including consumer banking, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services, and wealth management. They are seeking a Software Engineer – Back End and Full Stack to develop and implement application systems and programs with the Technology team, focusing on application systems analysis and programming activities. This role is hybrid with 3 days in office a week in Mississauga, Canada. Please note that our client will not be providing sponsorship for this position. Key Responsibilities: Identify and define system enhancements, analyze code, and consult with users and technology groups. Apply programming knowledge for design specifications, identify vulnerabilities, and conduct testing and debugging. Serve as an advisor to junior analysts and operate with limited supervision. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software. Write clean, efficient code, conduct code reviews, and troubleshoot software issues. Stay updated with the latest technologies and contribute to process improvements. Qualifications: 2 years of experience in the Financial Services industry with a focus on Back End, preferably Full Stack development. Proficiency in AngularJS, Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and Python. Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
