Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis) for a 6-month contract (with strong potential for extension or full-time conversion in FY26) to support the ongoing operations and strategic planning of the Bank Foundation, the bank’s flagship community investment arm. This is a high-impact opportunity to contribute to meaningful community initiatives, enhance social impact, and strengthen internal financial management capabilities within a nonprofit context. This is a Hybrid (Toronto-based preferred, but open to remote across Canada; Thursday in-office for Toronto residents) Key Responsibilities: Financial Management & Oversight Oversee the financial operations of the Bank Foundation, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and accounting standards Manage the Foundation’s finance system and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard organizational assets Lead the design and implementation of finance policies, procedures, and reporting processes Cash Flow & Treasury Management Conduct detailed cash flow forecasting and investment tracking Partner with the Outsourced Chief Investment Officer to analyze investment performance and ensure compliance Develop forecasts related to impact investing and other strategic initiatives Reconciliation & Reporting Prepare reconciliations for contributions, donations, investments, and cash balances Deliver comprehensive financial statements and reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders Draft board materials including financial reports and speaking notes for leadership and committee meetings Compliance & Risk Mitigation Coordinate with external auditors, tax counsel, and the Foundation Treasurer for audits, returns, and compliance requirements Monitor and manage financial risks, ensuring alignment with changing nonprofit financial regulations Strategic Financial Insight Support long-term planning by providing financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership Collaborate in the development and execution of organizational strategic plans Cross-functional Collaboration & Team Development Liaise with departments to integrate financial perspectives into programs and operations Mentor and guide finance team members, fostering professional growth and collaborative culture Must-Have Qualifications: 7 years of experience in financial management 3 years of experience in financial operations within a Canadian nonprofit or charitable organization Proficiency in nonprofit financial systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (5 years) Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field Nice-to-Have Qualifications: CPA or equivalent financial certification If you are qualified and interested in this position, please send your resume to Fouzan Shaik at Fouzan@ifgpr.com today.
