Description

The EDI Developer is responsible for ensuring that all EDI systems and their associated dependencies are fully operational and online. This role requires maintaining the integrity, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of EDI processes and data. The EDI Developer will also collaborate across departments and with external trading partners to ensure seamless EDI integration and support. Key Responsibilities: EDI System Management: Oversee the health checks, issue analysis, and ongoing maintenance of all EDI systems. Mapping and Integration: Create and facilitate EDI mapping requirements for both Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS). Document and revise mapping specifications as necessary. Testing and Promotion: Develop EDI maps, conduct thorough testing, and ensure proper promotion to the production environment. EDI Metrics Development: Establish and monitor key EDI metrics, manage upstream and downstream EDI file flows, and identify potential areas for improvement. Transaction Monitoring & Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve missing transactions. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and trading partners to communicate and resolve issues, changes, and enhancements in the EDI processes. Upgrades & Communication: Plan and execute system upgrades and maintenance, ensuring clear communication with customers and employees about potential impacts and schedules. Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the manager to identify opportunities for process improvements in support of Operational Excellence initiatives. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and maintain EDI system requirements for communication with system administration. IT Support: Provide company-wide IT support, assisting users via the support ticket system. EDI Strategy Planning: Contribute to the overall EDI strategy and roadmap for the company. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties and tasks as assigned to support the team and company goals.
