Project Development Manager, Canada – Battery Storage We are looking for a Project Development Manager to lead multiple energy storage projects. This role oversees site acquisition, de-risking, permitting, interconnection, and commercial negotiations to ensure project success. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Ontario’s energy market and the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO). Key Responsibilities Site Acquisition & Due Diligence: Secure and assess project sites. Project Development & Management: Oversee milestone execution, permitting, and interconnection. Finance & Contracting: Support project financing, RFPs, and commercial negotiations. Deal Execution: Assist in closing and financing transactions. Qualifications 3 years of experience in energy project development (Ontario, PJM, MISO, or ISO-NE). Based in Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area. Experience developing at least one energy project in Ontario. Strong knowledge of Ontario energy market dynamics and IESO. Proven ability to manage site agreements, permits, interconnection, and PPAs. Independent problem-solver with strong collaboration skills. Willingness to travel as needed.
