Established by the Wolf Cooper Foundation in partnership with the University of Toronto, Wolf Scholars has been designed to be the pre-eminent undergraduate scholarship program focused on developing Canada’s next generation of thoughtful and ambitious innovators, builders, and leaders. The Wolf Scholars Program, which will launch its inaugural admissions cycle in fall 2025 , seeks to empower the most promising young Canadians through a broad and transformative educational experience that prepares them to build a better world. Every year, the Program will bring together 16 exceptional incoming undergraduates studying a range of disciplines in the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Arts & Science. Wolf Scholars will receive a full academic tuition scholarship, participate in a joint academic seminar at the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy, travel domestically and internationally, learn from valuable internships and career training, and participate in a leadership development curriculum that will stay with them for life. As the first hire in the Marketing & Communications function , the Digital Marketing & Communications Manager will be responsible for establishing the program’s public presence, shaping its voice, and developing engaging digital content to reach key audiences. This role is both strategic and operational, involving planning, execution and measurement. The Digital Marketing & Communications Manager will have a drive for excellence and a passion for creating and managing inspiring digital content. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and execute a digital communications strategy to promote the Foundation’s mission and engage key audiences Manage day-to-day digital marketing operations, including a robust editorial calendar, website updates, and social media strategy Create compelling digital content (graphics and written copy) for the Foundation’s website, social media platforms, e-mail communications and Scholar recruitment Lead community partnerships and outreach with youth empowerment organizations connected to ambitious, curious youth Design inspiring documentation (e.g. case for support) to support and drive ongoing fundraising efforts Manage and grow the Foundation’s social media presence , ensuring engagement with key stakeholders Develop and execute digital campaigns for programs, events, and fundraising initiatives using data & analytics to refine strategies Oversee website maintenance , ensuring a strong brand identity Over time, manage and mentor team members focused on content creation Qualifications The Digital Marketing & Communications Manager should hold a degree from an accredited four-year university or college, preferably with a focus on marketing, communications, business, languages or journalism . Ideal candidates will embody the core qualities the Foundation aims to cultivate in Wolf Scholars: curiosity about the world, a passion for life-long learning, open-mindedness, a collaborative spirit, humility, optimism, a focus on excellence and a drive to build an impactful program for Canada. Experience 3 years of experience in digital marketing, communications, or content creation – we welcome applicants with both strategic vision and hands-on execution skills. Strong expertise in content creation, including copywriting, video editing, and graphic design Experience managing outreach for high potential and achieving secondary school or university students is an asset Attributes Exceptional writing skills for various platforms and audiences Strong analytical skills with experience using data-driven insights to optimize engagement Ability to balance hands-on execution with strategic planning in a fast-moving environment Reliable, detail-oriented, and adaptable , with excellent organizational skills Preferred Skills and Platforms Proficiency with content management systems like WordPress and Webflow Knowledge of digital project management processes and best practices Proficiency with making high – quality video and static content for social media Familiarity with design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro) Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Additional Employment Details Reports to: Executive Director, Margot Ghersin Working: Hybrid in Toronto, Canada Salary Range: $75,000 – 90,000 CAD annually plus bonus; flexible based on experience Ideal Start Date: April / May 2025 Eligibility: Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada Benefits: Generous paid time off, comprehensive benefits package, and exceptional networking & growth opportunities through exposure to top Canadian leaders through the Foundation’s Board Interested applicants should submit their application to careerswolfscholars.com.
