The Cloud Domain Architect, will be committed to the success of our customers through outstanding technology skills and commercial understanding while supporting the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud services. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud platforms and showcase ability to assess, plan, design and deploy Cloud solutions to meet customer business requirements. Reporting to the Cloud Practice Lead, this position will be based remotely. Primary Accountabilities: The Cloud Domain Architecture team is responsible for: • Lead operational improvements for AWS Managed services. • Be an 24×7 Escalation for critical operational AWS cloud specific issues impacting customers. • Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale Cloud solutions • Utilizing savvy business consulting and communication skills to design, build, and deploy Cloud solutions that meet clients’ needs and challenges. • Create Level of effort (LOE) Estimates for new and existing customer projects • Draft customer proposals including defining scope, risks, and assumptions • Developing complete customer-focused technology solutions that incorporate all aspects of architecture, including business and technical requirements, sizing, infrastructure, data protection, security, and disaster recovery. • Developing Solutions across different cloud platforms (SaaS, PaaS and IaaS) and various environments (public, private, and hybrid). • Creating relevant documentation as required that includes conceptual, logical, and physical designs, in addition to as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, and transition to operations information. • Collaborating as a subject matter expert with a team of architects to successfully deliver and implement projects. • Improving team processes to ensure high quality work and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the team. Role specific Skills and Responsibilities: This role is specific to the AWS Cloud and requires the following skills. • A deep understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) technology, features and roadmap • Ability to price solutions including AWS Cloud, managed services, and project implementation costs • Work with the other Cloud Solution Architects, Cloud Engineering, Cloud Delivery and support teams to operationalize products and services for the company from an Oracle cloud perspective. Beneficial Skills and experience: • EKS support and design experience • DevOps experience • Understanding of additional cloud environments such as Azure and OCI • Understanding of private cloud technologies such as VMWare, physical compute and storage • Certifications on various cloud platforms especially AWS • Understanding of the partner channel of various cloud platforms.
