Apply now Salary: $85K Key Responsibilities Organizing and maintaining litigation files Coordination of the document discovery process in accordance with firm protocols Document production including subjective analysis, preparation of Affidavit of Documents, summaries of productions, and discovery briefs Management of electronic data for Discovery and Trial Reviewing and summarizing transcripts of examinations; managing undertakings and refusals Preparing charts, chronologies and summaries of documentary evidence for use on discovery and trial Preparing mediation and pre-trial briefs Arranging and participating in meetings with clients and experts Preparing bills of costs Enforcing judgments, including preparation of all material and electronic Writ filing Trial preparation Managing day to day tasks of the office Working with staff and lawyers to maximize potential and work performance Coordinate with other offices regarding policy implementation Coordinating new hires as needed Working with Accounting to ensure payroll and banking related matters are addressed Other duties as required Qualifications Minimum 5 years litigation law clerk experience In-depth knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure and statutes Working experience with class action files Law Clerk Diploma or Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario Certificate (or equivalent) Professional demeanour and strong organizational, investigative, fact-finding, and problem-solving skills Ability to process a high volume of documentation with excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently and with excellent judgment to both follow instructions with minimal supervision and take initiative as required Strong knowledge of Summation and other industry standard litigation support software To apply, please forward your resume to: Zaheeda Merali Manager – Law Clerk Search at zaheedacartelinc.com
