Branch Manager – Geotechnical – Edmonton, AB Menard Canada Contact – Dave Banns ( dbanns@theheadhunters.ca or 604.351.6753) Due to growth, we are looking for a Branch Manager to join Menard Canada Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta. Reporting to the Western Division Director, the Branch Manager will be tasked with increasing presence and opening up a new Edmonton office. This multi-faceted role will appeal to a Geotechnical Engineer, with an entrepreneurial drive. Branch Manager responsibilities: Project Leadership : Oversee all aspects of project execution, from planning to completion, ensuring alignment with client goals and project specifications. Sales / Business Development: Using network and contacts, increase Menard’s presence in Alberta and play a role in developing business Contract Management : Oversee contract negotiations and management with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring all parties fulfill their obligations. Engineering: Review peer and/or junior engineering drawings. Strategic Planning : Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to timelines. Team Management : Lead and mentor project teams, including project managers, engineers, and subcontractors, fostering collaboration and high performance. Quality Assurance : Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications, conducting regular inspections and audits. Financial Oversight : Manage project budgets, monitor expenses and prepare financial reports, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints. Sustainability Practices : Integrate sustainable practices and innovations into project planning and execution to minimize environmental impact. The successful candidate has: Civil or Geotechnical Engineering Degree (PEng) 8 years of management experience in a civil construction environment Compensation and benefits: $115,000-$140,000 depending on experience, plus bonus Comprehensive benefits package Option to participate in Company Stock Options Plan Additional perks and benefits Only candidates already eligible to work in Canada will be reviewed.
