Application Architect – Life Insurance Experience Preferred North York, ON (Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite) $140K base About the Opportunity: A well-established financial services organization is seeking an experienced Application Architect to join their technology team in North York. This is a key role in driving solution design and modernization efforts across a variety of business applications in a primarily Microsoft-based environment. What You’ll Do: Lead solution design and architectural planning for enterprise applications Collaborate across teams to ensure scalable and cost-effective application architecture Support cloud adoption and modernization initiatives Drive the use of architectural best practices, reusability, and reduction of technical debt Participate in architectural governance aligned with TOGAF principles Review technical proposals and ensure alignment with business and technical strategy Evaluate emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions Support performance assessments and provide technical leadership throughout the SDLC What We’re Looking For: Strong experience in application architecture and solution design Background in financial services or insurance preferred Experience designing solutions involving both custom apps and SaaS products Expertise with .NET/Microsoft tech stack Familiarity with cloud environments and modernization strategies Working knowledge of TOGAF or other architectural frameworks Proficiency with service-oriented architecture (SOA), ESB, web services, and integration patterns Experience with web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, RUP, Waterfall, etc.) Effective communicator with strong leadership and problem-solving abilities Interview Process: Initial virtual interview with Engineering Manager Onsite technical and cultural fit interview Final virtual interview with VP of Technology Apply Now If you’re ready to bring your architectural expertise to a collaborative, forward-thinking organization with a stable and meaningful product mission, apply today.
