About Smart Serve Ontario: Established in 1995, Smart Serve Ontario is a charitable organization dedicated to developing and marketing a responsible server training and certification program for Ontario. The training program provides those that sell, serve, and deliver alcohol the information needed to provide safe and responsible service. Our charitable division, DrinkSmart, supports education and awareness about the risks of binge drinking. The goal is to work with all Ontario Post-Secondary Institutions and engage as a community partner with resources and creative supportive campaigns. Job Summary: We are seeking a self-motivated and creative recent graduate with a passion for responsible alcohol service and community engagement. You’re a quick thinker who enjoys problem-solving and thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment. You understand brand values, work well independently or in a team, and have a strong desire to learn, grow, and contribute to meaningful campaigns. Your typical duties include content writing, community management, graphic design, analytics, email marketing, and marketing campaign management. We would need your expertise in graphic and video editing, digital content management, and an understanding of brand values and compliance standards. You will be directly involved with marketing campaigns and community engagement tasks. We are looking for someone who is content savvy with an understanding of the hospitality and tourism industry and has a passion for safe and responsible alcohol service. This position will play a major role in overseeing key aspects of the DrinkSmart.ca brand, while also supporting the Program & Marketing Manager. You will help drive brand awareness, strengthen community engagement, and contribute to the overall growth of both DrinkSmart and Smart Serve Ontario , including the Smart Serve training program. This position is hybrid, which allows for remote work but time in office will be required. You can expect to travel, on occasion, with work hours outside of standard office hours. Due to the nature of the position, a vehicle and license would be required. Key Responsibilities: Create engaging content for social media, email campaigns, landing pages, and blogs. Support marketing campaign development and execution including attending events. Manage community interactions across social media platforms. Assist in photo, graphic, and video editing using Adobe Creative Suite. Track and analyze metrics to inform future marketing strategies. Maintain consistency in brand tone, voice, and compliance standards. Contribute to email marketing and CRM platforms. Assist in website copy and content updates. Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Experience with content creation across digital platforms. Strong understanding of social media management, email marketing, and blog writing. Ability to analyze campaign metrics and prepare performance reports. Knowledge of design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and basic layout principles. Familiarity with website content creation (e.g., blogs, copy decks). Experience using social media scheduling tools such as Hootsuite is an asset. Proficient in Microsoft 365. Education and Experience College diploma or equivalent experience in Marketing, Tourism & Hospitality, Graphic Design, or Advertising. Minimum 2 years of related experience. Valid Smart Serve Certification (required).
