Position Overview The Director, Corporate Development will play a pivotal role in expanding Lankin Investments’ reach across Canada by cultivating and managing high-impact relationships with key stakeholders including real estate professionals, financial service providers, accountants, lawyers, and leaders of small-to-medium sized businesses. This individual will act as a brand ambassador, identifying and executing strategic partnership opportunities, driving new investor channels, and contributing to the overall growth of the firm’s investor base and assets under management. Key Responsibilities Strategic Relationship Development: Build and manage a network of real estate brokers, mortgage professionals, financial advisors, accountants, lawyers, and business owners to drive capital flow and brand exposure. Partnership Strategy: Design and implement outreach programs and initiatives to attract and engage corporate partners and professional networks. Business Growth: Identify and close business development opportunities that align with Lankin Investments’ strategic priorities and fundraising goals. Market Expansion: Develop region-specific strategies to grow awareness and investor interest in key Canadian markets. Events & Representation: Represent Lankin Investments at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to raise visibility and cultivate prospects. Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing, Investor Relations, and Executive teams to support the development of co-branded campaigns, content, and partner initiatives. Reporting & Insights: Track pipeline growth, report on KPIs, and provide market feedback to refine go-to-market strategies. Qualifications 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or a related client-facing role, preferably within real estate, financial services, or professional services. Strong network of contacts in one or more of the target audiences: real estate professionals, wealth advisors, accounting/legal professionals, or business owners. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a natural ability to build trust and rapport. Proven track record of identifying, negotiating, and securing strategic partnerships or business opportunities. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and execute with a high degree of autonomy. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field. MBA or CFA considered an asset. Familiarity with exempt market investments, real estate syndications, or alternative investment vehicles is a must.
