About the role The Quality Specialist is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of quality and environmental management systems and implementing improvement initiatives to facilitate continual improvement. The Quality Specialist is also responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards, conducting internal audits, and conducting data analysis. This position will be required to communicate with Suppliers, Sales Divisions, and Customers. What you’ll be working on Internal Audits: Plan, execute, and report on internal audits to assess compliance with quality and environmental management systems. Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address audit findings. Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QMS/EMS): Maintain and enhance the QMS/EMS, ensuring alignment with ISO standards. Monitor key performance indicators related to quality and process efficiency. Facilitate QMS/EMS training for employees. Process Improvement: Analyze processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for optimization. Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Foster a culture of quality excellence. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of audits, corrective actions, and preventive measures. Document and maintain all procedures according to company standards. Participate in external audits as needed. Take quick and effective actions when non-conformances are reported both internally and externally. Provide support, as required, and conduct return material analysis to assess the root cause of customer complaints and/or quality issues, and give direction on appropriate corrective action implementation and reporting. Facilitate the disposition of material, in cooperation with the appropriate internal and external teams as necessary to help maintain inventory integrity. Interface with both customers and suppliers on Quality related issues. Act as the lead for all problem-solving activities for a specific customer base. Prepare all communication with respect to any Quality Alerts and ensure distribution to appropriate parties, both internally and externally. Ensure corrective actions are appropriately documented, implemented, effective and have timely closure. Other duties as assigned. We’re looking for someone with Bachelor’s degree in a related field 5 years’ of experience as a quality assurance auditor or similar role knowledge of relevant regulatory standards Strong analytical and problem solving skills Excellent data collection and analysis skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work well within a group as well as independently Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Presentation skills: comfortable leading meetings with both internal and external parties as well as presenting proposals, reports, data to group on various topics. Copes effectively with complexity and change. Demonstrates ability to quickly and proficiently understand and absorb new information.
