Step into a collaborative hub with our revamped office, and enjoy free parking, endless coffee, delicious Lactalis snacks, an on-site gym, and more About the opportunity: The Bilingual Credit Representative is responsible for managing the release of customer orders and collection of payment for an assigned portfolio of accounts. The Credit Representative works closely with the internal stakeholders to maintain the assigned portfolio in “current” status by ensuring that customer inquiries and deductions are actioned and resolved in a timely manner. The attributes we are looking for: Approve and release customer orders, ensuring customers are within terms and credit limit, and contact customers to reach satisfactory resolution on delayed payments prior to releasing orders. Consistent follow-up with internal partners for action and approvals is necessary to drive results. Manage assigned accounts receivable portfolio of customers, securing payments on accounts including past due invoices. Perform follow up activities internally and directly with customer to resolve all outstanding invoices in accordance with established timelines. Educate customers on various payment and billing options available to expedite payments. Manage high volume of deductions through Dispute Management System, by obtaining and entering the necessary back-ups and supporting documents. Partner with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Pricing, and Sales teams to investigate and validate customer deductions. Resolve all deductions from customer remittances including claims, debits, short payments and invalid deductions. Participate in monthly portfolio risk reviews with Supervisor. Provide guidance related to payment allocation including follow-up of unresolved debit notes and invoicing disputes. Assist management with settlement negotiation by providing account analysis and history data. Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements and end-to-end efficiencies to management to prevent losses to Lactalis. Build strong partnerships with internal and external clients and provide a consistent level of customer service. What you will bring: College diploma in Accounting/Finance is an asset. Certified Credit Professional Designation or working towards obtaining the designation is an asset. At least 2 years of collections and deductions resolution experience is required. Experience using a web-based AR application, preferably SAP. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong reconciliation, negotiation and analytical skills Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams Proficient with standard office computer technology including strong proficiency with Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision Accounting skills; able to reconcile the AR sub-ledger to the general ledger.
